I have been taking my dads car lately to work. Very tired. Monarch butterflies just keep appearing everywhere!!!! around us, in pictures in mail received to my home....
I have been doing a lot at my moms. She will be moving in with us in the spring/early summer. She has a balance problem and needs a walker. She doesn't want to be alone and she is a hoot. Hubby is still coming to grips with that fact, as our house is very tiny 900 sq ft. lol but damn can she cook. We have lots to clean... mom and dad were homebodies, collectors and smokers... need I say more? Mom did a lot of canning and food making, so "containers" are the thing. Also, dad would just put anything mom told him to into the basement... so it is crowded. Dad collected/built trains, planes, boats and models. So lots of stuffs there.
I hope to be back using the bus soon as parking is expensive $3.50 per day (although I DO like getting home in 20 minutes)
I am still working in the children's dept. It is noisy, busy and noisy... did I say noisy? hmmmm Have a look at my facebook for Kira's latest belly pic... she also has one of her naked belly.... very cute. She is 24 weeks now and doing well.
She is planning to homeschool (ha ha fool doesn't know what she is in for mwahahahaha). It is a little boy and he is quite the active acrobat!!!

Need to get stitching and less puter time..... eeeek

Later Lynn!!!

Well, I have had a very bad week. My dad died on August 30th. He had a fall and hit his head. Mom had gone to bed about 9 p.m. and dad liked to stay up and comtemplate life late into the nite. He must have fallen about midnight and mom woke @ 2ish a.m., called us and when we got there he had been gone a while. It was very difficult and sad. I will miss my daddy so much, he was 70... too young to be gone and leave his wife of 49 yrs and all of us. He was going to have his first great grandchild born in January; my first grandbaby; and his mom (who is 92) first great-great grandchild. OMG... the enormity of it all..... He will be so missed.
He is one of those persons whom everyone loved dearly. I cannot think of one single person who has had ANYTHING bad go say about him. He was a Pisces, warm, affectionate, caring, dedicated to family, loving, honest,kind..... My 13 yr old son said when I told him Papa had died..... Mom, he is the only man I know true to his word..... kinda deep for a 13yr old... but my kids are very wise that way.

I want to tell you about the butterfly stories that have been happening. It is very bittersweet.
On Sunday Aug 26th, dad and mom were around the campfire at dusk. As he was sitting there telling her how much he loved it up there, a Monarch butterfly was fluttering around him. Usually butterflies are not around at dusk as we all know... being day time critters. Mom and dad laughed at the butterfly.

Kira (my eldest pregnant with the first grandchild, great grandchild and great-great grandchild) was swimming in her in-laws pool on Wednesday Aug 29th and there were 4 Monarch butterflies fluttering around her. (unusual for them to be around water) and her Father inlaw commented that there were no flowers around and where did they come from???

The day dad died August 30th , I was sitting in my backyard about 7 p.m. sniffling and thinking of dad, when a Monarch butterfly started fluttering around my head. I got up to check the dogs and it followed me.... it stayed around me for about 3 minutes. I told Phil and he said it was my dad. (just realize that at this time - none of us had shared stories about the butterflies)

The day after dad died (August 31), Phil was blacktopping our driveway, when a Monarch butterfly landed on his shoulder, he was startled and it flew off.

When we all started talking, we were amazed and started to cry.... dad is around and now Monarch butterflies will have a new meaning for all of us.

So, not much stitching being done, but I will get to it. Lots to do and many memories to relive.

Love peace and joy..... go hug your daddy today!!!! Love Lynn

Well my pretty precious. I am really, really, really an ESFJ none of that N stuffs. I am also a 2 in the enneagram tests..... the giver....yup u huh that is moi.
Not been doing too much. Been busy @ work getting used to another dept. What a busy, noisy place. My co-workers are awesome! They have welcomed me with open arms and hearts. It is great to walk into a place and feel at home.
Stitching wise: only put a few hours into NS.... want to do other things. Gotta have my start-itis habit fed. So I did it. Yep, started another one. It is a 4 season scene from a Brit mag. I love the colours and pattern. You wanna see a pic? ya me too.... <--- is not a good picture taker. (*get a load of my facebook pic ewwwwww*)
Going with Daughter next week to see haematologist to look into her blood woes. She is now 8 wks along and seems to be fine so far.... (quick,,,,, find the wood, hit it hard... knock knock).
My diet, you ask? well DON"T :o(

So, hope to see some more updates from y'all.

later.....

Well now peeps. Have done some more investigating. I think I am an ENFJ... seems to be a bit o confusion about the S or N thingie. The more I read the more I am an N...

Onto the stitching front. I have picked up Noah's Sub again. Daughter is 6 wks pregnant and will be seeing a specialist to check into bloodwork problems. Seems her blood thickens when she is preggers. She may have to have heparin 2X a day if this keeps up. We will find out more as the summer progresses. She sees someone on June 11. So, working on NS is making me happy. It is such a fun piece. I am working on finishing the bottom of the page with the dark blues. I will post when I have more to show.

You Are An ESFJ
The Caregiver

You are sympathetic and caring, putting friends and family first.
A creature of habit, you prefer routines and have trouble with change.
You love being in groups - whether you're helping people or working on a project.
You are good at listening, laughing, and bringing out the best in people.

You would make a great nurse, social worker, or teacher.

OK, so here I sit, on my vacation during march break (with a kid no less - hey he is 12 and on the puter all day so no probs!) and I think, what to stitch.... so, I had called Judy @ Just a thought.net and got from her this: Accessory book chart http://justathought.net/prod/l3/attic_collection_accessory_book.htm

and this: Simple Elegance http://justathought.net/prod/l3/simple_elegance.htm

So, I had to start them right? so off I go to my local needlework shoppe www.gthreads.com and get my off white belfast linen, and choose threads (I am using Caron waterlilies # Elderberry wine, Needle necessities # 1351 , and DMC colour variations # 4240. I am working on the attic accessory book first. I am keeping track of actual usuage per front panel (4 of them), so if i want to make it again i can use assorted silks... (like I have lots NOT).

So, as you can see I have started. I also found that I have fabby for the simple elegance. It is something I had on hand and i will post a floss toss later... damn camera battery died.
Ah well,,,

that is all for now!!!

New Way of Life (to take a phrase from Atkins).
No, I am not starting Atkins (tho I do see the benefits). I am just going to follow the Vice Busting Diet advice (for now). I need to see a new me. I have to do this slowly to make it become a regular way of living.
I am also taking Multi-Enzymes from GNC. I can't believe how they make me feel. I feel better, full, content. Hmmmmm. Have given up 1 vice: Timmies French Vanilla Cappuccino. There, I have committed. It was hurting me (tummy, diarreah....) so bye bye Cappuccino. I will increase my liquid intake to 90% plain water. Been doing good there. I also have to eat smaller portions. That is also the next step. 272 remember that number YIKES! (nope don't wanna gotta hide that thing).
I have been reading ALL my sparkpeople messages. I will be regularly updating my diet page (for myself anyway).
FITNESS Well there is a word for ya. hmmmmm That will be coming. Since I have found that I have been having trouble just walking without getting winded, I must change me. So, watch this woman slowly shrink before your eyes. I will be watching!!!

Love Lynn l8r t8r.....

A posting from my Spark People account. I will be posting regularly now. Will keep me accountable!

Ok. Well another new year. hmmmm and resolutions galore.

Well same old stuff...a new lifestyle change. I am reading a great book (The Vice Busting Diet by Julia Griggs Havey..... and Yes!!! I have vices. Chocolate, Tim Horton's French Vanilla Cappuccino, large portion sizes, chips, no exercise.

So this book is really opening my eyes and making me accountable for ME. So I am going to do this, for me and my self! I am also checking my inner self to determine WHY this has been such a hard choice. I have a feeling I may need to Journal on a regular basis to sort myself out and find the answers.

In the mean time.... I will start with the basics! 90% of all liquid intake will be H2O. No more Timmie's Cappuccino (they give me diarreah anyway :o( ) So I will be drinking H2O in the minimum amount of 1/2 my body weight in ounces = 139 oz. OMG well it is my own fault. I will also be using the above mentioned book for my bible for now. What she says makes WAAAAAY to much sense. So, here we go. I need to be able to: tie my shoes, wipe my bottom (TMI I know), walk for more than 2 minutes without wheezing, not have chafing (we all know where!!!), and I will think of more.

Char, DD, EW, here I go.... Love Lynn
